General Tips For Use

      - If you want to receive audible alerts, the best way to ensure this works is to keep WarnUS open in its own window. Some browsers will automatically silence pages that are left inactive for an extended period of time.
      - If the situation is calm, set the update interval for 5 minutes. Please don't use the more frequent updating intervals unless the situation is active. Also, please only use the 30 second interval if you're in fear of your own life or a friend or loved one's life.

• Don't want to receive an audible alert EVERY TIME a warning issued? Here are some options:

      - Uncheck the "Sound an alert if a new warning or statement is issued". If you do so, the tab will flash between "Live Warning Data in the United States" and "New Warning(s)/Statement(s)" issued.
      - Restrict the warning data to a single forecast office. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU KNOW THIS WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR OWN ABILITY TO RECEIVE CRITICAL WARNING INFORMATION.

• If the script is running slowly...

      - Trying checking for updates less frequently.
      - Try disabling features that you're not using.
      - If the page becomes unresponsive, try refreshing the page or closing the browser.
      - Try clearing locally stored website data.
